Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RigUp.
Recruiter
Had a phone call with the hiring manager where she gave me context on what we would be discussing and what to prepare for. She was really nice and easy to talk to, and gave me a lot of info on the role and company. Next, I had a panel interview with several team members. Everyone was friendly and easy to talk to. Then, I had a third round with two managers to figure out which team would be a better fit. The fourth round was a short call with someone from an acquired company, who was also very friendly and bright. Everyone was easy to talk to, happy to answer questions, down-to-earth, and made me feel welcomed.
- Can you tell me about your background and what you're looking for in your next role?
- What are your thoughts on certain situations and the different verticals?
- How do you approach handling roles?
Recruiting Coordinator
The interview process involved an initial 30-minute call, followed by a written assessment, and then a 2.5-hour on-site interview. The company was very responsive and timely throughout the process. I really enjoyed meeting the team and the on-site visit; it was actually the best interview experience I've had, even though I didn't get the job.
- Can you describe a time you had to push back with colleagues?
- What aspects of your current team do you enjoy the most?
- Given these scenarios, how would you prioritize tasks?
Senior Recruiter
I had a phone screen with HR, then another phone screen with the VP of Biz Dev. After about two weeks of silence, they invited me for a Skype interview with three people. Now it's been another week of silence, so I assume they moved on with other candidates.
