First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rigor.
Sales Development Representative
I applied to Rigor twice. The first time, they rescheduled me so many times that I ended up taking a job with another startup. After I was laid off, I contacted Rigor again. It was more of the same. As an applicant, I felt like my time wasn't valued. I was rescheduled at least 6 times. I would plan my day around these interviews only for someone to contact me 30 minutes before our scheduled time to say they couldn't make it. My first interview with the company was with an intern. I reached out in October, had two phone interviews in November, and didn't hear back until December, when I reached out again. I get that startups can be busy, but if a company doesn't value its applicants, I find it hard to believe it will value its employees.

Business Development
I connected with a recruiter who was quick to respond via email. The interview was held at their Atlanta office, where I met the team. While they seemed like a nice group, the process felt disorganized, possibly because they're new to hiring. It seemed like they had already made their decision, as it was a quick in-and-out interview. I sent a follow-up email afterward but didn't receive a response, which I found a bit unprofessional, especially for a smaller company that should at least send a polite rejection.

- Why are you interested in sales?
- Can you describe your approach to handling rejection?
Marketing Events
The initial management phone chat was to help me get a feel for the company and role. After that, I tackled a writing assignment with three essay questions and a press release. The final step was meeting with four different folks at their Atlanta office. It felt pretty relaxed, and I felt good throughout the whole thing. Definitely important to go in with some ideas ready to discuss.
- If you were to join us today, what aspects of our company would you look to change?
- What draws you to seek employment with our company?
- What are your initial thoughts or suggestions for our company?
Intern
I applied online. About a month later, I got contacted for a recorded online interview. Then, about another month later, they invited me to Atlanta for an interview, but canceled it the day before. Luckily, I hadn't booked accommodation. Two weeks after that, they reached out to me again to interview via Skype.
- Were you willing to do undesirable tasks?
- Did you think certain tasks were below your pay grade?
