Patient Care Technician
I applied online and it was pretty easy. I got a call from the site manager. Then I went in for the interview, and they gave me a tour. We talked about salary and when I could start. After that, I shadowed another tech for a whole half day. The manager called me afterwards to see how the shadow went, and then they offered me the job.
- Can you tell me about your qualifications?
- What is your background?
- How many years of experience do you possess?
Physician
The interview process was absurd. Initially, I had a meeting where 'Doc' Graw offered $100/hr. However, during a follow-up, the pay was cut to $90/hr, and they stated they couldn't afford to offer full-time hours, reducing the position from full-time to temporary part-time after a firm offer was made but before I started. This was outrageous and inconsiderate. When I pointed out how unfair this was, I was told my services would no longer be required! It was amazing. I never received any compensation for the initial process. What a rip-off!
- Did you take a silly psychological aptitude test consisting of the same four questions repeated 20 times with slight variations?
- Does the psychological test produce an internally inconsistent report, claiming you are a dedicated worker who sees a project to completion, and then claiming you lack focus to complete a project?
Clinician
The interview involved shadowing someone during their work. They asked about my experience and skills. They also asked me to name the toughest case I handled, a family situation I handled, and to explain HIPPA.
- Can you describe your experience?
- Could you tell us about your skills?
- What is the most challenging case you've encountered?
Patient Care Technician
The interview process was easy; they don't ask many questions during the interview. They will want you to be able to work weekends and weekdays, on an alternating schedule. They will ask about your past experiences and weaknesses in the workplace.
- Can you work weekends and weekdays, with an alternating schedule?
- Tell me about your past experiences.
- What are your weaknesses at work?
