The interview process included a friendly HR screen and a first-line hiring manager chat. We had great conversations. HR covered standard topics like the company, the role, and my experience. The hiring manager went in-depth about my experience and behavioral situations. Again, the conversations were friendly and good.

First they review your application, looking at your resume for product ownership, SaaS, finance/billing experience, Agile, and BI/reporting keywords – if you don't have those, you likely won't move forward. Then there's a quick 20-minute Zoom screen, probably with a recruiter or HR, to check if you can do the job, understand what Rightsline does, confirm your comp/location/hybrid needs, and see if your experience matches the job description. Expect questions like 'Tell me about your product owner experience,' 'Have you worked on financial/billing/royalties products?', and 'Are you okay with hybrid?'. Following that, there are two more Zoom interview stages with the hiring manager and your potential teammates (like a PM, engineering lead, or domain expert). These rounds assess your ability to write/clarify user stories, prioritize a backlog with competing stakeholders, collaborate with engineering in sprints, gather and use customer feedback for the roadmap, define reporting/BI/data workflows, and your grasp of finance concepts like billing and reconciliation. One round might focus on 'ways of working' (Agile/Scrum, refinement, acceptance criteria), while the other delves into 'product/domain' issues related to royalties/rights/billing.
