First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Riderflex.
Manager
I had a phone interview, then a virtual one. During the virtual interview, they asked what my previous employer would say about me and if he would recommend me for this job. It was weird because I never named the owner, but the interviewer brought him up by name. It was clear they knew each other. When I mentioned we were having issues because his company was going bankrupt, the whole vibe changed. I think that's when I lost my chance, or maybe they talked about me and that cost me the job. After that, I was ghosted.
- Why are you departing from your current role, and would they endorse you for this job?
- Why are you leaving your current position and would your current employer recommend you for this role?
Chief Marketing Officer
The hiring journey began with a brief phone call to confirm basic qualifications. After that, successful candidates moved on to a video interview via Google Hangouts. What was great about the Hangout was that they asked genuine questions about YOU, not generic interview questions. They really put effort into finding the right fit for their client, so if you get past this, you're definitely a strong contender. Honestly, if you're right for the job and your personality clicks with the client's vibe, it's a refreshing change from the usual robotic hiring.
- The questions will differ based on the specific position.
Educator
After 2 months of interviewing and a performance task, I had an in-person interview to teach a lesson. When I got there, they had already hired someone. They wanted to observe me, a licensed educator with experience, like the new hires. A staffer kept telling me I was perfect for a role that no longer existed. I felt disrespected and used. I wouldn't trust this company to value your time.
- Tell me about your experience relevant to this position.
Chief Technology Officer
I had a phone screen, then a video call with the Managing Director of Riderflex. The process was quick, moving from phone to video screening really fast with no long waits for feedback.
- It was a 45 minute screen covering a variety of topics from technical, to business, to personality.
- The interview covered just about everything I think a hiring manager would want to know and then some, but wasn't tedious or too intrusive.
- I think it was the right level of detail.
