There were a couple of red flags during the online application process. The job title was inconsistent, listed as both quality engineer and manager depending on the job board. The phone interview with HR was also confusing because they seemed unsure whether the role was for a quality engineering or a management position. It seems like they don't really know what they want or need.

I got an email asking for a virtual interview within a week, which was nice. I sent follow up emails thanking them after the interview and asking about next steps. The interviewer mentioned we should know about the next steps by xx/xx. A week passed, so I sent another follow-up saying we should know something by xx/xx now. A couple of weeks went by after that, so I sent another email to reaffirm my interest, but I didn't get a response. I still see the job posted a few months later.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process started with a human resources interview. If you passed that, you moved on to an interviewing panel in a very relaxing environment. They asked questions and then opened the floor for you to ask questions, which made you feel welcome and not stressed. It went quick, and they offered a one-on-one before offering the job.

The interview was mostly soft-skills and behavioral questions with the engineering manager and intern mentor. Nothing crazy difficult, just trying to see what kind of person you are to work with and being able to walk one through your resume.
