The interview process is pretty straightforward and I think everyone gets a fair chance. You just need to be good at the job. First, you'll have to do an animation test. If both your test and reel are good enough, they'll call you for a phone interview, which might come out of nowhere. After that, you'll be invited to their studio for a studio test. The head office will then evaluate the test files. If you pass those tests, you'll get the apprenticeship, which is 3 months long. To get the actual job, you need to be consistent with your work during the apprenticeship. Three months of consistency should get you the job. Overall, it's a great place to work. I'm not sure how things are now that Parana bought it.
- What's the hardest part about getting past the first stage?
Technical Director
Applicant submits resume. Company follows up with a call for the first interview. The first interview includes an IQ Test, a communication test, questions about your knowledge of the company and industry, and your passion for the field. The second interview assesses rotoscoping skills. If successful, there's a 2-month apprenticeship before potential hiring.

I had a meeting with multiple team members, including the hiring manager, all together. We talked about my work ethic and general stuff to see if I fit in and what I'm looking for. They also asked me about Linux.
- How would you describe your work ethic?
- Can you tell us about yourself and your expectations for this role?
- What is your experience with Linux?

The interview process went smoothly. I met with a panel of my potential managers and peers. We went over my past work and discussed the future of R&H, including the type of work on upcoming projects. They were polite and professional and seemed genuinely interested in my career goals at R&H.
