Got a call from a recruiter and the initial screening chat went well. Setting up the next chat with the hiring manager took a bit and needed a few nudges from me. The convo with the hiring manager felt rushed, and they really drilled down on specifics, which I answered. It feels like they aren't super serious about hiring but more keen on getting ideas from candidates. From what I've seen in other reviews, it sounds like this is a common pattern. Maybe they're still figuring out what they need since the hiring manager is pretty new. Also, HR wouldn't give me the hiring manager's email to send a thank you, which is unusual. The company seems to be in a state of flux, with miscommunications and growing pains being common.

I was first contacted on LinkedIn about a role at Rhino. I initially declined but reapplied after being laid off. After speaking with the employee who reached out, I was connected to the head of Success, but they were pausing hiring and asked me to follow up in a month. I did, and then connected with a recruiter. I passed the recruiter screen and moved to a mock client presentation, then to a final round with 4 employees where I was asked standard interview questions. I followed up 3 days later and was told I'd hear back the following Monday, but it's been 2 weeks since the final round and I haven't heard anything. This whole process involved 5 interviews.

This company is a startup and growing rapidly but the process couldn’t have been worse. I received an email from someone at the company for a phone screen. He immediately started the conversation reading off a script (the entire call), didn’t introduce himself or anything, and just kept reading off a script. I followed up with him about the interview and next steps and just never heard anything at all. A joke of a process, don’t waste your time applying here until they dedicate to a legit recruiting process/team.
