Store Leader
Applied online and got a call from an area manager for an interview. Drove over an hour to meet her at her home store. The interview went well, and she said I'd hear back soon. A week later, her regional manager called for a phone interview. During the call, I mentioned I'd already spoken with the area manager, and the regional manager said she didn't know we'd met. She promised she or the area manager would follow up within a week. Ten days later, I hadn't heard back, so I emailed the area manager to say I was still interested. Another week passed, and I emailed the regional manager again hoping to talk soon. I never heard back from either of them. Their organization is dysfunctional.

- How does your sexual orientation affect your work?
Store Leader
I was contacted and went through 4 rounds of interviews, both over the phone and in person. It seems I must have offended one of the leads during the final phone interview because the process completely stopped. Everything was moving quickly towards hiring me until that point. This makes me question the regional lead's reliability and decision-making, especially since they were the one who initially reached out to me.
- Are you familiar with our company's Core values?
Store Leader
The first chat with HR was great! It seems they really care about finding the right folks. The chat with the district manager was also good. But then, talking to the store leader felt a bit off, like they were asking tricky questions not really related to what I can do or know. It was kinda awkward.
- Could you tell me about your strengths?
- What about your weaknesses?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
