The interview process involved some phone conversations and then 3 in-person interviews. The first interview was a group setting with people applying for different types of roles. They are really looking for someone who fits their in-store culture and how customers perceive them. They asked questions that specifically focused on your design style, what you liked about Restoration Hardware's style, and even what your favorite piece was.

Sent an online application but got lucky because a job fair was happening, so I could talk to interviewers face-to-face. Had two rounds of interviews with both in-store and corporate staff. Everyone was very professional and down-to-earth. It was one of the most relaxed interviews I've had for a big corporation. The process was a bit unorganized, and it's clear the company is restructuring, which is good for potential employment.

I had a great interview and they thought we'd connect well. I was told they'd contact me in 3-5 days after the Store leader returned to figure out the best position for me. Even with 11 years of experience, I never got a call back. I got another offer, so I stopped pursuing it. But as a manager, not calling someone back, good or bad news, is unprofessional. It was very disappointing and disrespectful.
