Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RH.
Manager
I talked to some managers and most of them were nice and helpful. But I had to go through seven interviews and then I had to ask them myself to find out they picked someone else. Every interview took about an hour, and two of them were in person. They were fast to contact me and set up interviews. I thought it was weird that they didn't contact me for two weeks after the last interview to tell me they chose another candidate. This is especially weird because one of their main values is that they 'act fast.' I liked their values list, but it felt a little cult-like like others have said. It's a very corporate environment that some people might like. It sounded like I avoided a problem because some managers said it took over their lives.
- Which of your core values speaks to you the most?
Assistant Manager
The interview process took months, and although I received an offer, I ultimately didn't accept the position. I should have paid more attention to the negative feedback from previous employees shared on this site. While my direct supervisor was great, the overall company culture wasn't a good fit for me.
- What are your long-term aspirations with this organization?
Assistant Manager
We had a few interviews that were pretty chill, no stress. The goal was to see if the candidate was a good match for the company culture. There was 1 phone interview and 2 zoom interviews.
- Can you share an instance from your past work where you successfully altered someone's viewpoint?
