I talked to one of the Customer Experience Leads over video first. Then I went in person to meet with another Customer Experience Lead and the manager of the department.

I had two video interviews that went really well. First I talked to a recruiter, and then a customer experience leader. They were both really nice and made me excited about the company. But the third interview, with an executive, was not good. They seemed distracted, looking away from the screen and acknowledging people walking by. They weren't warm at all. Someone else unexpectedly joined the Zoom call, which threw me off. I also think the interviewer didn't like my questions. I asked about career growth and got a generic answer about hard work paying off eventually. When I asked about work-life balance, they seemed annoyed, making me feel like they thought I wouldn't put in enough effort, which isn't true. In the end, I'm glad I didn't get the job because I realized the company culture wasn't for me, and I'm okay not working for a selfish company.

This interview process was really intense, like something out of an Ivy League school. It started with one phone screening, and then three more interviews over Zoom. The last two of those had two interviewers each. They have super high expectations for customer service, and honestly, it was probably the hardest interview process I've been through in my retail career. Company culture is a massive deal here – you really need to be on board with Gary's vision, or it's a no-go. They are incredibly selective about who they hire to handle customer service calls, like, really, really picky.
