First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RH.
Project Coordinator
The interview process was pretty thorough, taking about two to three months in total. I met with several associates and the gallery leader. I would have liked to meet someone in the same position as the one I applied for, as it seemed like everyone interviewing me had a different job.
- Tell me about your future goals and aspirations.
- Describe how you interact with customers.
Project Coordinator
The process was super simple, but the interview questions felt very personal, and didn’t ask much about my job experience and more about gas lighting me for a reaction in addition to asking about personal life. Felt uncomfortable, but way too conversational for myself. I reflect the energy the interviewers gave off.
- What is your greatest weakness?
- Which RH value do you embody?
- What is your availability?
Project Coordinator
I got contacted by the gallery lead about an interview for the Project Coordinator role. When the interview started, they mentioned the Project Coordinator role wasn't open and asked if I'd consider a Gallery Support role instead, which was a bait-and-switch. The gallery lead said I didn't have the qualifications for Project Coordinator, even though my background matched the job description. After I gave my salary expectations, they cut the call short saying they were going to end the conversation. Their follow-up email said I wasn't being considered for the Gallery Support role, which I never applied for. So, I was invited under false pretenses, told the job wasn't open, and then rejected for a job I didn't want. Takeaway: Misleading, unprofessional, and dismissive. If applying to RH, confirm open positions first.
- They asked me about a job that I didn’t even apply for.
