First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RG.
Program Manager
This interview process was really confusing and didn't make any sense. They couldn't even answer basic questions about the job. I later found out from HR that they're advertising jobs for government contracts that don't even exist. It felt like false advertising. The whole vibe felt like a company desperate to hold onto past successes. I just don't trust them. If you look at their job postings, most have been up for over 30 days. During the interview, they asked if they could submit my resume for a proposal, which I declined. The main interviewer from RGov Access group acted like a stereotypical used car salesman, very unprofessional and clearly reading from a script he didn't understand. I also heard from industry colleagues that he has a dishonest reputation from his time at Accenture. That confirmed my decision to look elsewhere.
- I was asked a lot about specific Navy experience.
- I was asked about programs with SPAWAR.
- I was asked about programs with NAVSEA.
Defense Recruiter
The recruiter reached out by email and we eventually connected on the phone a few days later since I was busy. The interview itself was pretty structured and covered the types of roles I had recruited for, the government agencies I'd worked with, and if I knew about OFCCP requirements. After that, I was invited on-site for about an hour-long panel interview with another recruiter and the hiring manager. They were both conversational, which made it easy to give detailed answers. At the end, I met some of the Alexandria HQ staff, which was less about technical stuff and more about understanding the company culture. The whole thing was fast, clear, and organized.
- Tell me about the types of positions you've recruited for.
- Do you have experience recruiting for specific government agencies?
- What is your understanding of OFCCP compliance?
Financial Analyst
I applied for the job online. A recruiter from Robbins goia reached out via email and voicemail to set up an initial phone call. We talked about my background. She mentioned that the advertised position wasn't actually confirmed yet because the company was waiting for contract approvals from a third-party company. It was unclear if this was a temporary contract role or a long-term consulting position. The recruiter couldn't clear up the confusion. She suggested I fill out an application so she could see what other potential issues I might have. Her phrasing and the uncertain job status made me decide to stop communicating with them.
