So I had this recruiter call first, it was alright, nothing special. They actually switched the role on me from what I applied for, which was a bit weird, but I decided to go for it. They said I'd hear back from the hiring manager, but then there was just silence for over a week after I gave my availability, which felt like a big red flag. I ended up withdrawing my application because of that and the salary being way too low.

Applied in late Oct 2024 for RF Smart, went through 5 interviews by mid Dec 2024. Interviewers included peers, hiring manager, and department managers. Late Dec, about a week after the last interview, was told they'd make an offer, pending new year budget finalization. Mid Jan 2025, 3 weeks later, informed the role was canceled and no offer would be extended. Very frustrating.

I had a phone screen with an HR person, then a video conference call with two potential team members, then an in-person interview. After the in-person interview I received no word back, at all. It seemed like a lot of my time wasted to not even receive closure on the interviews that I completed. Possibly points to lack of professionalism.

So I talked to the recruiter first, and then there were 3 more interviews. The first two had 2 people each, but the last one had more. They were mostly behavioral questions and everyone was really nice, professional, and made me feel comfortable. The recruiter did a great job of telling me what to expect for each interview. I felt like I did well until the last interview where they asked more about how I'd fix software and printer problems. I guess I didn't show them the skills they were looking for in that area, so they decided not to move forward with me, which is totally fair.
