The interview process was efficient and easy to understand. The internal recruiter that I worked with was extremely professional and kept me informed throughout the entire process. This was honestly one of the best interviewing experiences I have ever had. The entire process took about two weeks and there was a series of four interviews, with the last one being in-person at their Chicago office. Overall, I had a pleasant and welcoming experience with all the individuals I interviewed with and the questions were thought provoking and well suited to the job position. Very impressed.

I had an interview scheduled for 2 pm, but due to my work schedule and duties as a Tech Lead, I joined a few minutes late. I apologized and explained I had to supervise for a bit. The hiring manager seemed to ignore my explanation and asked if the recruiter had mentioned their late policy, which I wasn't aware of. Despite this, she proceeded with the interview, answered my questions, and said I'd hopefully hear back soon. After the interview, I emailed her and the recruiter to thank them. The recruiter responded immediately, stating that because I was late, the hiring manager decided not to move forward. While I accept the outcome and appreciate feedback, it was unprofessional to conduct the full interview when the decision seemed to be made early on. It felt like a company that doesn't prioritize the human aspect.

I first chatted with HR, then the hiring manager the next day. About two weeks later, they told me they couldn't move forward because their pay expectations were lower than what I was looking for.
