So, I had a really bad interview with Revolut, and it made me question how they do their hiring. First off, my interview got cancelled even though it was already set. They didn't really explain why or give any heads-up, which felt super unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. Then, there was this SHL test, which seemed really off. It felt more like it was designed to be discriminatory rather than actually test job skills, and I had no clue how they used the results or if they even mattered for the job. The whole hiring process was just a mess. The recruiter wasn't clear, they missed their own deadlines, and there was no real plan from one step to the next. It felt chaotic and poorly managed, not like a fair assessment at all. For a company that talks about being data-driven and efficient, it was surprisingly messy. So, yeah, be careful if you apply – expect last-minute changes and not much communication.

Applied for a Talent Acquisition role. Without any initial calls or meetings, I was immediately asked to complete a 45-minute test. I started preparing for it but needed more time, so I asked the recruiter for an extension because I couldn't access a computer and thought doing it on my phone wouldn't be ideal. I tried contacting the sourcer three times by email and also reached out on LinkedIn, but received no response. It's disappointing to be ignored as a candidate, and even more so as a recruiter. What a poor experience.

The process has about 4-5 stages, which is pretty standard. The interviews might be a little tougher than at other places, but that makes sense since Revolut is a leading and growing fintech company. First, there's a cognitive test, then a call with the recruiter. The third and fourth stages focus on your recruitment skills and sourcing abilities. The fifth stage is a 'bar raiser' interview. If you fit the company's values and culture, and you've come prepared knowing what they're looking for, you should do well.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • During the skills interview, can you discuss your metrics and achievements, and highlight your impact?
  • In the bar raiser interview, we want to understand your mentality and potential, as well as your contributions and achievements to establish your seniority.
  • Tell us about your past contributions and achievements to define your seniority.
