We started with an introductory call that was about 20 minutes long. This was followed by a problem-solving interview, which was pretty similar to consulting case interviews. Then there was a take-home case study where I had to use Google Sheets, mainly for problem-solving, without needing deep technical knowledge beyond basic formulas. Finally, there were two team-fit interviews for the specific team I'd be joining.

Case Technical Behavioral Presentation

I would strongly advise against pursuing this. My experience was very poor and felt extremely inhumane. There was a consistent lack of respect for candidates’ time, with late starts and disengaged interviewers, which felt reflective of the broader culture. For the UX role, the case study focused on a sharp drop in gross profit for the trading product following the GameStop situation. After progressing to the product sense interview, the feedback was delivered in a dismissive way, framing me as “barely passing” and “barely junior” (despite interviewing for a senior role), which felt unnecessary and unprofessional. That interview focused on improving Revolut’s referral program. The final “bar raiser” interview was particularly disappointing. The interviewer appeared uninterested, barely engaged with my responses, and ultimately rejected me on the basis that it didn’t meet the “Revolut standard” without constructive or actionable feedback. In hindsight, I’m glad I didn’t move forward. Feedback from people in my network who work or have worked there aligns with this experience, describing a culture where many are unhappy or overly hierarchical and arrogant. Terrible people, terrible culture.

Case Behavioral Other

The hiring journey had a few neat steps: first, a recruiter chat to go over things. Then, a problem-solving case study where I had to figure out what was really going on by asking smart questions. After that, a product sense interview, looking at a product situation, getting the user needs, and suggesting what to do. Then, a 'bar-raising' interview about my background, how I work, and my values. Lastly, some chats with future team members about how we'd work together. They gave good feedback after each part and a quick call from the recruiter. It felt really open and organized, which was great for getting ready.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • In the problem-solving part, I had to figure out the main issue by asking the right investigative questions.
  • For the product sense interview, I was given a prompt and had to clarify assumptions, understand user needs, and suggest solutions, which also involved asking the right questions.
  • The bar-raising interview was mainly about my past experiences, my work approach, my values, and what I don't like in a workplace.
