First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Revivn.
Account Executive
The interview process started off a little unconventionally. I was contacted directly by the Founder who wanted to get advice from me, rather than pitch me the role. It was unique, so I took the call, but he never followed up or passed me to the hiring team. A few weeks later, I reached out to ask if we could move forward. I had a 45-minute introductory call with a new sales manager, and then I was invited onsite to their office in the BK Navy Yard. The onsite involved an exercise with the Hiring Manager and meeting with 3 team members. I thought the interview went well, but I didn't hear back until I followed up over a week later and received a rejection email from a recruiter. When I asked for feedback, they mentioned other candidates were being considered. I was surprised they couldn't offer more constructive feedback after multiple conversations and the onsite visit. They are doing interesting work but are a small company that has undergone downsizing.
- Why are you interested in working at Revivn?
Computer Technician
I did a one-way video interview, it was through a third party service. Each question had 90 seconds to answer and there were 5 questions in total. After I submitted my interview, I never heard back from the company or HR about it. I don't know if anyone even watched it. It feels like a really detached way to hire people.
- What makes you want to apply for this job?
Warehouse Operations Manager
I was contacted by a Co-Founder on AngelList and followed up via email. We then set up a video call for an initial screening. I thought it was great that he was communicative and the process moved along fast. The downside was that the interview focused more on how my previous operations worked and seemed like he was trying to mine information on how other companies operated, rather than assessing my qualifications for the role. At the end, he mentioned needing to speak with other candidates and that I'd hear back in a week, which is standard. However, I never received any follow-up, leaving me feeling like I was just a source of information about other systems' operational processes.
- Could you describe how the operation functioned and your specific role within it?
- Would you mind detailing your most recent professional experience?
Revenue Operations Manager
So the interview process started with a screening call with the hiring manager, just to chat about the job, what they're looking for, and how I fit. Then, there was an HR interview to go over cultural fit, company values, and practical stuff like pay and when I could start. The final part had two interviews: first, a case study with the hiring manager for about an hour to tackle a business problem, and then a chat with the CEO for 30 minutes about the company's direction and my alignment with their vision.
- Could you outline how to build a solid sales forecasting process?
