Sales
A recruiter contacted me about this role. I first had a phone screen with her, followed by an onsite interview. When I got there, I had to complete a lengthy packet with my work history, including previous bosses' names, salaries, contact info, and duties, before the first and only in-person interview began. This interview was supposed to be 30 minutes but only lasted about 15 minutes because they wanted me to finish the packet beforehand (which would have been fine if they had told me to arrive earlier to do it). I actually thought this person was great because they really wanted to know my strengths and shared some of their experience at the company. The second interviewer wasn't interested in my past accomplishments, only in how many calls I could make per day. They spent most of the time trying to find flaws in my resume and didn't seem to grasp that interviewing is a two-way street. The third interviewer took two phone calls during our meeting and was on the phone for more than half the time, leaving me to just sit there. I almost walked out because it was so disrespectful and unprofessional, but I stuck with it because I liked the recruiter who referred me. Ultimately, this company, job, and culture weren't for me, but it might be a good fit for someone else.
- In your last job, what was your average number of daily cold calls?
Sales Associate
The whole thing felt unprofessional and rushed. I tried calling and emailing but got no response. I never even got to talk to the actual person I was supposed to interview with. The person I did speak with wasn't even in the right department.
- Can you explain how a specific system they offer operates?
Inside Sales Associate
I applied through Glassdoor and the recruiter called me in a few days. They asked basic questions about my experience and what I wanted. Then they invited me for an in-person interview where I was supposed to present to a sales panel. When I got there, I met with the HR Director instead of the panel. She asked more questions about my background and mentioned the company is growing fast. After about 45 minutes, she gave me a tour. Then I met the sales manager who didn't seem very interested. He gave me another tour and then I was basically shown the door. The whole process felt disorganized and like they weren't really looking at my qualifications. It seemed like they needed to hire a lot of people quickly, but I was looking for a long-term career. I got an offer over the phone the next day and then an official email. I'd really research this place before accepting a job. They seem to have high turnover, and I can see why.
- Can you share an instance where you had to handle a prospect's objection? Describe the objection and how you addressed it.
Inside Sales Account Manager
The interview process was pretty typical. I met with Marketing & HR then I was asked to do a couple of questionnaires. From there I was invited to come back for a 2nd interview to meet with the Sales Manager.
- Can you tell me about the 4 personality types?
