First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Reveleer.
UX Researcher
the interviewer was pretty laid back. she asked basic behavior questions and used my previous work experience to make up a ux scenario on the spot. it was virtual and i was notified that i wouldn't be moving forward about a week later
- Can you describe your current role?
- Given this scenario, how would you approach designing a study?
Software Development Engineer in Test
I went through five interviews for this role: a recruiter chat, a meeting with the Hiring Manager, and then three interviews with engineers. The recruiter and HM interviews were fine, as was the first engineer chat with a Developer, who seemed to think I'd be a good fit. The second interview was with a QA "Engineer" who seemed to lack basic SDET knowledge, especially in automation. She immediately started firing questions without intros, had a negative vibe, and her accent made it hard to understand her. She got annoyed when I asked for clarity and was clueless about Cypress automation, even mistaking UI text validation for API testing. She also misunderstood my explanation of Postman usage for manual validation, questioning if I couldn't use it for automation. In the last couple of minutes, she threw my question back at me. The third interview was with the QA Lead. She was nice, and I think I answered her questions well, but she didn't ask me anything about Cypress, saying the previous interviewer already covered it based on feedback. It felt weird she relied solely on that feedback, especially since she mentioned being "very close" to the other interviewer, making me suspect unfair influence due to personal dislike. I suspect made-up negative feedback from the second interview influenced the outcome, and I believe the recruiter ghosted me after five interviews because of it. My advice to Reveleer is to be careful about who conducts interviews and consider that some individuals might have personal agendas that don't represent the company well.
- How do you go about validating text on a page when using Cypress?
Software Engineer
I talked to the recruiter first, and that went pretty well. Then I interviewed with the hiring manager, but it wasn't so great. The hiring manager didn't seem to have much experience or good people skills and didn't seem very engaged in our conversation.
- Can you explain the concept of Dependency Injection in .NET?
- Describe your process for debugging a slow SQL query.
- What strategies would you use to optimize a slow SQL query?
Operations Analyst
So the interview process usually goes like this: First, they'll look at your application or resume. Then there's a quick screening call, maybe a phone interview. After that, you might have some tests or assessments. Then comes the first round of interviews, which could be technical or behavioral. Sometimes there's an assessment center, but not always. They'll also do reference checks. Then there are final interviews, and after that, if everything goes well, you'll get an offer and we'll talk about negotiation. Lastly, there's a background check before onboarding.
- Can you tell me about your experience with data analysis from past jobs?
