A recruiter from Wisconsin contacted me about a 15-minute phone interview for an Entry-Level Engineer role in Orlando. We scheduled it, but 30 minutes prior, they canceled because an offer was accepted for the position. I'm unsure why they were still scheduling interviews after offers were made, but whatever. A few days later, the same recruiter called about a new opening in the same location for what seemed like the same role. We scheduled another interview, and it became clear the position was actually Mechanical Engineer I in a nearby office in Winter Park. The interview went okay, though the recruiter seemed uninterested and was just reading questions, some of which were repetitive. He said he'd pass info to the engineering team and they'd reach out within a week if they wanted to proceed. Two weeks later, I got an automated email stating my application for the original role wasn't moving forward. It's unclear if this applies to the new opening I interviewed for, and it would be nice to get direct communication from the interviewer.
