Floor Technician
The interview process was pretty standard and organized, nothing really unusual about it. This was back in 2014, though. It was a great place to work. I guess I have to add more words here, so I'll just say it's a shame the gym closed.
- Have you got previous experience working at a gym?
Front Desk
It was a quick and easy interview, under 30 minutes. They asked about my customer service experience, my ability to handle high-pressure situations, and my familiarity with gym equipment and software. It was a great job to do while studying in college.
- Can you introduce yourself and tell me about your previous work experience?
Front Desk Receptionist
This was a group interview for a Front Desk Receptionist role. They're really looking for someone super upbeat and talkative. During the interview, we did a role-play where we had to answer a customer's question, and the manager was watching how we handled it. It seemed like sales was a big part of it too, so if you're not into encouraging people to join or something like that, this might not be the best fit. It wasn't a terrible interview, but seriously, if you're not really upbeat and chatty, it might be tough to get hired.
- If you advance past the initial group stage, what can you expect in your one-on-one interview with the manager?
Front Desk Agent
The interview process is straightforward. Because they are short on staff, they need someone capable with basic skills. This job is suitable for individuals right out of high school. You will meet with the manager or assistant manager, who will outline the job expectations and requirements. You might be asked about your past jobs and why you want to work there, and if you have any significant health issues or injuries. They don't expect advanced skills, just a basic grasp of handling money (which they'll train you on) and the ability to lift moderately heavy items.
- Are you available to work on weekends and holidays?
