My interview with RESPEC was quite strange, partly due to vacations and timing, but mostly due to poor communication. I first interviewed with the hiring team because the HR person was on vacation. I specifically asked about time zones for this remote job and was told I could work in my local time zone. Weeks later, the HR rep contacted me for a 'benefits discussion,' which turned out to be another panel interview I wasn't ready for, as I expected just an HR benefits overview. They also mentioned the job required working in a different time zone. When I pointed out the contradiction, one of the people from the first interview somewhat denied we had discussed it, even though I took detailed notes. The meeting was awkward due to these miscommunications on their part. Afterward, I received an error-filled automated rejection email and was then ghosted when I followed up for feedback. Overall, it felt very unprofessional due to their miscommunication and lack of professionalism.

The interview process was great and really well organized. It was a virtual group panel interview with 5 people: the manager, HR, and team members. It felt more like a discussion, and everyone was super encouraging and friendly. They asked a mix of personality and skill-based questions.

It was pretty straightforward. We had a recruiter call first, then a call with the team of 3, and finally an in-person interview. All of these were to talk about my background, and the whole thing took about a month.

They want you to really know your stuff for this role. You'll have a virtual interview with a few people on the team, and it'll be under an hour. They're flexible with scheduling too. First, you'll chat with HR, and then you'll talk with the team.
