First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Resource Innovations.
Energy Engineer
The interview process took about three months but ended up well. I had two HR interviews and then two hiring manager interviews. They asked pretty basic questions, the managers were nice, and the whole thing was smooth and easy.
- What is your motivation for seeking employment at RI?
Senior Software Engineer
The hiring process took 5 months, which was a significant waste of my time. Initially, I went through interviews, and then they ghosted me for two months. After that, they reconsidered me for another position. They asked me to complete my existing visa process for sponsorship, and I invested money to expedite it. Once I had my approved visa status, they conducted two more rounds of interviews. Following these, they informed me that my hiring was pending approvals. After waiting for another month, I was told that no offer would be extended because the company had changed its mind about sponsoring visas. I was surprised by this decision, especially after four interview rounds, the team's agreement to hire me, and the disregard for the time and effort I invested, as well as the interviewers' time. I'm glad to be avoiding this company culture and wanted to share this experience so future candidates are aware before investing their time, even if the role and team seem like a great fit.
- Can you share details about your past work experience?
- Were there any online tests involved?
- What technical questions were asked regarding programming languages?
Program Manager
So I had an initial phone screening scheduled with them, but they totally ghosted me and never called. I emailed them to see if we should reschedule. Later, I got a really unprofessional response back, saying their reminder didn't go off, and they apologized using stuff like 'UGHHH' and 'Man,' and even spelled my name wrong. We did reschedule and had the phone screening. Then they wanted me to do a Teams interview, but it never happened because of more scheduling drama with at least 3 people on their end trying to set it up. I just gave up and withdrew my application.
- What made you want to apply for this role?
- Is the salary listed acceptable to you?
Energy Engineer
I had a screening interview with HR, then 2 more interviews after that. The last one was a panel interview. All of this took place over 3 weeks and then the company just ghosted me. My friend had the same interview process 2 months later and she also got ghosted. It's been 5 months and neither of us have heard anything, and we saw the job posted online again. I don't think this company is actually looking to hire anyone because we were both super qualified and after reaching out to HR, my friend was told she'd get an offer. But she never got one or any communication. It wasn't worth my time.
