Technical Support Manager
Their hiring process is 4 rounds: HR screening call, Hiring Manager call, Call with head of the department (CPO), Call with the CEO. Each stage was fairly conversational with a few standard interview questions thrown in.
- Can you share an instance of a challenging customer interaction and how you resolved it?
Marketing
It was a pretty easy interview process. I first chatted with the recruiter who found me on LinkedIn, and she was nice. After we talked about my experience and what I'm looking for in the future, she set up an in-person interview with the hiring manager for later that week. I went into the office, sat with the recruiter for a bit, and then met with the hiring manager. We talked for about an hour, and I felt really comfortable. I got a good sense of what the company wanted and felt like it was a good fit for both of us.
- Can you tell me about a time you worked on a specific project?
- What is your main motivation?
Software Development Engineer in Test
The interview was a phone call. The QA Director was very pleasant and immediately started with technical questions. Some were familiar, others weren't. About twenty minutes in, he inquired about my professional background and past work. He kindly allowed me to discuss projects I'd completed at previous employers. To wrap up, he asked if I had any questions about the company and set up a coding interview for the following week.
- Can you explain what a singleton is and show me how to create one in code?
- What exactly is reflection in the context of Java?
- Could you define Hibernate and explain the process of fetching data with it?
Product Manager
So the interview process was: first a phone screen with the VP of Product. Then another phone screen with the hiring manager, who was a senior Product Manager. After that, I had to come in for a face-to-face interview with a whole bunch of people: multiple product managers, the infosec manager, the engineering manager, and then the VP of Product again. Seriously felt like I was interviewing for a C-level position.
- Given my security background and lack of product management experience, what are your expectations?
- How do you see your security background translating to product management, even without prior experience in the field?
