First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Resolution.
Assistant
I found the interview process to be quite straightforward. I submitted my application through LinkedIn and received a response from HR within a week. We then scheduled an initial phone screening. Following that, I had meetings with two associate directors. They inquired about my interest in the company and the role, and also asked about my previous work experiences. They were very helpful in answering all my questions, and our conversations felt very natural and engaging.
- How do you collaborate with colleagues?
- Tell me about a situation where a mistake occurred and what steps you took to resolve it.
- What is your strategy for managing multiple responsibilities and deadlines?
Advertising Coordinator
After passing a phone interview, I went in person for the next stage. The people I met with were not very welcoming and asked some really specific questions, which was strange because they boast about their good training for new hires. I mean, it's an entry-level job, you'd think they wouldn't expect me to know everything about the industry already. I did have some internship experience that was pretty much the same job at a similar company. Honestly, I knew I wouldn't take the job even if they offered it to me after that interview.
- How would you rate your familiarity with Excel on a scale of 1 to 10?
Social Media Coordinator
I spoke with 3 younger guys. It was super chill and relaxed, more like a chat than a real interview. They just looked over my resume real quick and asked some easy questions about my past jobs. They know it's an entry-level gig, so they weren't grilling me. If you're friendly and seem eager to learn, you'll probably be good.
- What makes you interested in Marketing?
- Tell me about a time you were overloaded with work and how you managed it.
- What are your learning goals for this role?
SEO Coordinator
My company knew people at Resolution, so they got my resume in and I applied for some entry-level jobs. HR in New York contacted me and I talked to a few HR people while they figured out where I fit. Eventually, Chicago HR sent my resume to a Resolution team that had a better opening for my skills, which was great. I had a phone interview with my two future managers, and then HR in New York made me a job offer a few days later.
- Can you describe your personal work style?
