First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Resodyn.
Business Development
The CEO wants you to prep two presentations. First, a presentation about your past job successes. Second, a presentation on how you'll contribute to Resodyn. About 5-8 employees will be in each presentation to ask questions.
- Can you outline a marketing strategy?
- What's your motivation for relocating to Butte?
- Tell us about your past successes.
Marketing Professional
I applied for a job via general inquiry and got an interview scheduled really fast, like the next day after hearing from them within an hour. But when I got there, it was obvious the interviewer didn't even check my resume. He asked me about my job history and education, which were both clearly on my resume. He said he thought I was a good fit and wanted to see some of my work. I sent my samples when I got home, and within an hour, I got an email cc'd to the CEO that basically trashed my qualifications and said my work samples were "very basic." My samples included an eight page interactive client document, so not really "basic." The email made me sound like I just graduated high school, even though I'm close to finishing my master's and have seven years of experience. Then, a rejection email came less than five minutes after that. My advice is to avoid this company. If this is how they treat candidates, I can't imagine how they treat employees.
- Can you walk me through your work history?
- Tell me about your educational background.
- Could you share some of your work samples?
Management
The interview process was quite challenging, yet in a very unique way. It involved problem-solving questions to assess my capability in specific scenarios and presentations focusing on areas of expertise required for the role. It was actually a great way to get a feel for working with people in the company and learn about the company culture before actually joining. I found the whole experience very rewarding.
- Could you prepare and deliver a technical presentation on a subject you are very knowledgeable about?
Engineer
The company required presentations as part of the interview process. They also expected the interviewer to cover their own travel expenses, including plane tickets, car rentals, and hotels, with the promise of reimbursement later. This felt like a tricky way to get someone to do work for them. The whole process was a time sink and didn't seem to benefit anyone involved. It was a pretty bad process and was a sign of what the company was like.
- Can you explain your previous discovery and work?
