Financial Analyst
I found this role on LinkedIn, and then a recruiter hit me up. We scheduled a phone call for a basic pre-screen. After that, we set up an interview with the department head and HR head. I decided to withdraw because I researched more about the company and it didn’t seem like a good fit for me based on reviews and the vibe I got. It didn’t seem like a great culture. The recruiter was nice, though. Before the interview, they had me do two assessments. The first was a very outdated excel test. They wanted to see my excel skills, but I have a few years of experience, so I thought this would only apply to new grads. The test was laggy and frustrating. None of the questions were important uses of Excel, and I believe it probably made me look like I didn’t know how to use Excel. The second part was one of those behavioral assessments, and also had me answer as many questions as possible in a short amount of time. Overall, the whole process felt outdated and made me lose interest. I didn’t want to work for a place that is so behind in its hiring process and overall company culture.

Learning and Development Specialist
I applied through LinkedIn and then got an email from the Director of L&D to set up a phone chat. The phone interview was about 25-30 minutes with the Director, and then they asked me to come in for an in-person panel interview right after. The panel included the Director of L&D, the HR Director, and the Sr. Training Manager. It was a pretty standard panel interview, and they said they'd let me know about the next steps. About a week later, the HR Director called and offered me the job.
- What's your approach to assisting someone with a need outside of working hours?
Investment Analyst
I applied online and a recruiter contacted me the next day for a screening call. I had previously emailed a VP about the role, so unsure if that sped things up. After the recruiter call, I took a recorded Excel skills test two days later. Then, the recruiter called me back the same day or the day after to schedule an interview with a senior analyst. Following that, they set up another interview with the group's SVP and the senior analyst from the previous interview. This last interview was a bit tougher but very friendly and low pressure. Just know the industry well and you should be good.
- What work environment factors tend to frustrate you?
- What is your understanding of ResiCap and its industry?
Vendor Manager
The atmosphere was very comfortable. I didn't notice any red flags during the whole process. From what I could see, they seem to have a great work environment. The interview was one-on-one. The interviewer was respectful and informative when I asked questions about the company and the role.
- How would you deal with a vendor who isn't cooperating?
