We had 4 rounds in total, but I only got to round 3. It started with an initial screening where we talked about my resume. Then there were two rounds of technical interviews. They mentioned that the final interview would usually be an onsite visit.

Started with a recruiter call where we went over my experience and resume. Then I met with the VP, who wanted me to pitch myself and explain why I wanted to join their company and how I could address their challenges.

hr emailed me without asking any expectations and arranged an interview with the hiring manager. the hiring manager was cool and nice and he scheduled a second round of interview, which was technical. its a new company and they have a cool idea (I don't think it's innovative). I was very clear that I have never worked on AWS or any cloud and can take any interview related to linux sys admin. the dude who called knows nothing about linux and all he asked was AWS, which I told him I have 0 experience with. looks like lack of co-ordination. Overall seems to be a good company and nice people.

The interview process involved a recruiter screening, a hiring manager interview, and then an onsite interview. Amara, the head recruiter, was fantastic throughout. She really knew the new role and the company vibe. The onsite had usual rounds with people from all over the company, and they even took me out for lunch offsite, which was a cool move. What's also not common is that Joris the CEO personally called me to chat about the role. He was super friendly and wanted to make sure Rescale could support my career growth alongside his. It was a tough call not to move forward because the timing just wasn't ideal.
