Sales Representative
Recruitment was handled by a third-party agency based in the UK, which was quite unprofessional and disorganized. It took them four weeks to respond. When they finally got in touch, they wanted to set up a Zoom call with the VP. During that call, the VP mentioned that the salary he'd initially quoted was no longer on the table because they were now looking for sales reps with software experience. I have extensive sales experience, just not specifically in software sales. It seemed odd to schedule a Zoom call if they were looking for someone with software sales experience, and then to tell me I was underqualified and consequently offer a lower base salary. This company definitely showed some major red flags.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain your passion for sales?
- Tell me about yourself and why you enjoy working in sales.
Customer Success Manager
I went through 3 rounds of interviews and they all ended with "you'd be a great fit with our organization!". After trying to follow up for 3 weeks, I finally received a 2-sentence email stating I would not be getting the job. Over a year later, they reached out again, but through a 3rd party company from the UK. They clearly have no system to know I had already interviewed with them. I learned that I had some mutual connections who worked at RepeatMD. They told me to run away as fast as I can. It's basically a scam run by the CEO. They give you no direction with the role itself and expect you to be a master of CSM for their product. They add more and more responsibilities with no added pay. A buddy of mine who used to work at RepeatMD even said "You have to work some weekends just to keep up with their demand. Then there's zero team recognition of hard work. I'd honestly just avoid interviewing with this company altogether." The CEO ended up on r/LinkedInLunatics. TLDR: Toxic culture, toxic CEO - I've heard firsthand from RepeatMD employees that they are miserable.
- How do you see yourself fitting into a startup environment?
Customer Support Manager
I really enjoyed the whole interview process with RepeatMD. I went through 5 rounds for this specific role. It might seem like a lot from the outside, but I appreciate how thorough they are in picking the right person, especially for a leadership role. My interviews happened right after the new year, and this time of year can be super busy for most companies. They kept in touch constantly throughout the whole process and gave me updates every week! This has been the smoothest interview process I've ever been through and I'm so excited to join the team!
- Could you describe how you've managed a direct report who wasn't meeting expectations, and what the outcome of that discussion was?
Business Development Executive
This company was a total disaster. The co-founder interviewed me from his bed and asked me to memorize a poem, then turn away from the camera to prove I didn't cheat. They promised $500 for my time. After multiple interviews and prep, they called to say I was hired, told me to quit my job, and said they'd fly me to Texas. Two hours later, they revoked the offer due to 'budget cuts' and suggested trying again in four months, never paying the promised $500. They recruited me, but wasted my time and trust.
- Can you recite a poem for me?
- Tell me about the last time you took a risk.
