So the interview process for the product design gig went like this: First, we did this weird remote IQ test and a typing test. Then, a remote recruiter chat. After that, a remote portfolio review. Next up was an in-office panel interview. Finally, we had an in-office offer meeting. The IQ test was wild, tons of tricky logic puzzles and some basic algebra thrown in. Honestly, out of all my applications, I've never seen that before, and it just made me wonder what they're really looking for. I also thought some of the personal questions they asked were a bit odd. Like, why are we talking about high school? For most people, that was ages ago. Just leaves a weird impression, you know?

It was a really in-depth interview process. They really focused on your skills for the job but also how you'd fit into the company culture. It was a mix of assessments, virtual interviews, and then in-person interviews. Overall, it was a thorough and enjoyable process.

Behavioral Presentation

I got an email asking me to come in the next day for an interview for the position. It was a 1-on-1 interview with someone who didn't seem very invested in doing it. I was asked to describe myself and talk about my experience, which was the only question they asked. After that, the interviewer gave a rundown of the company and position, and they seemed annoyed when I asked questions for more details on specific parts of the role. That was the end of the interview.

The interview process was straight forward! All the questions were reasonable and tied in directly with the companies core values. Getting to know the company and some of their members was quite enjoyable, and they take the time to get to know you and your background as well. The interview process spanned over a month, but that makes sense considering the number of candidates and the start date being later.
