Data Engineer
The interview process was very time-consuming. Total of 5 interviews, and 2 different take home home assessments. It started with an HR screen, followed by a short 45-minute technical take-home, a systems design interview, a hiring manager interview, and then a longer take-home assessment that was supposed to take 1–2 hours but realistically took closer to 4–5. Not too difficult, typical data engineering stuff, python sql, docker, APIs, etc..., but just a bit time consuming. The final step was a two-hour interview split between discussing the take-home with a staff engineer and another conversation with the hiring manager. Throughout the process, the feedback I received was overwhelmingly positive — the team even mentioned my take-home was flawless and there wasn’t much to critique. I was led to believe I was a final candidate, but after a week of silence, I received a short message from the recruiter saying they had decided to hire someone at a more junior level due to budget changes. Overall, the interview process was professional and technically fair, but the experience was frustrating given the significant time investment and lack of follow-through after such positive feedback. Pros: Engaged team, thoughtful technical challenges, strong communication early in the process. Cons: Excessive time commitment, poor closure, and last-minute change in hiring scope.

Customer Success Manager
I felt great going through the rigorous interview process having to have literally 4 interviews with them. These interviews were spread out over the course of a month due to people being out of office. Get all the way through to the last interview and received an email that they decided not to hire for the role after all. Complete disrespect for a candidates time. Don’t post a job if you don’t plan to hire for the role and don’t put someone through 4 rounds of interviews if you ultimately don’t want to fill the role. I am posting here to warn others before they go through interviewing, make sure to confirm at each interview that they still plan to hire for the role.

Software Engineer
I went through a 90-minute technical online assessment and then a 45-minute technical interview with the CTO where I was asked brain teasers and a medium-difficulty DP problem. There was also a technical take-home assignment and a presentation of the take-home to a panel of engineers. I only made it to the 45-minute interview with the CTO. We started with intros and talking about Rentable, then he hit me with three brain teasers. With about eight minutes left, he asked me to code a medium DP problem. My DP skills were rusty so I did a brute-force approach, which I realized later wouldn't have worked. The interview felt rushed, and the whole process seemed like a copy-paste from big tech companies.

Account Executive
It was a quick 3-step interview process that wrapped up in about 2-3 weeks. The recruiter was from the company and really easy to deal with. I got an offer letter less than 48 hours after talking to them.
