First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rent A Wheel.
Tire Technician
Joe was really keen to get to know me and super clear about the job. It was really fast, super efficient, and got me totally ready for what was next.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations for a customer in a prior role?
Store Manager
I had a phone interview with the District Manager, then about 4-5 more interviews over time. They asked me management-style questions and tried to sell me on the bonus structure and the store location, which I think is bad because corporate doesn't get that Charlotte's hip-hop scene means the store needs to be moved. There was a robbery attempt that I stopped.
- Tell me about something you did yourself to boost sales or reduce credit.
- Are you able to mount and balance a tire?
Store Manager
It was a great, casual and informative process. Although the district manager who hired me didn't end up being my actual DM, the experience was smooth with typical questions about my background and abilities. They also talked about the benefits and bonus structures, and explained the expectations and company standards.
- Why should we hire you over other candidates?
- Tell me about your experiences and skills.
- What can you tell us about the benefits and bonus structures?
Human Resources Administrative Assistant
The interview went really well. The hiring manager and I talked about why we were both interested in human resources. She also gave me some tips on what to put on my resume since I haven't worked in human resources before, though I did take a couple of Human Resources Management classes in college.
- What makes you want this job?
- Why this role?
- Tell me why you're interested in this position?
