First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Renown Health.
Patient Access Representative
It was a panel interview with all supervisors, the manager, and the director on the call. They each asked a couple of questions to see where you'd best fit and to potentially end up with multiple offers. They do have work-from-home and in-person options, and you just need to state your preference during the interview. Both options are fast-paced and require a lot of patience. This job isn't easy, but it can get your foot in the door at Renown and open up other opportunities.

Physician
The process involves speaking with the ICU Division Chief, Dr. Richard King. He has established a unique multi-team ICU model at Renown Health, which prevents any single service from becoming overwhelmed and ensures optimal patient care. This system also helps prevent physician burnout, demonstrating a focus on both patient well-being and physician longevity. Dr. King aims to build a strong Intensivist team by carefully selecting candidates, rather than filling positions quickly. He is described as approachable, honest, and transparent, making him an ideal administrator to work under, especially for those who have experienced difficult management.

Practice Lead
I applied on 5/22/23 and heard from a recruiter a couple of weeks later who moved my application on to the interviewers. She mentioned they would contact me if they wanted an interview. My application status continued to say 'under review'. In July, out of the blue, they contacted me to schedule an interview, which was set for July 11th. The recruiter who called gave off a vibe that I should be grateful for her call and didn't ask if I was still interested or apologize for the delay. The interview itself involved four interviewers at the same time, and while they introduced themselves, they didn't seem interested in my background. They had my resume, so it was a red flag they still interviewed me. They seemed to think they were doing me a favor. I was cheerful, but they were closed off. They asked typical management questions. At the end, when I asked what success looks like, they scrambled and gave a vague response. They said they'd let me know by the end of the week, but it's now August 4th, and I still haven't heard back, and my application still says 'under review'. If I get an offer, I'll decline.

Training Specialist
It started with a recruiter pre-screen, who reached out via email to set up a phone call. It took three follow-up emails from me to get it scheduled. During the call, I learned the position was open due to layoffs, which made me a bit worried about the role's future, especially with Renown's recent news. Regardless, we set up a virtual interview for the following week via Microsoft Teams. The interview felt like a tribunal – the whole training department, about 6-8 people, was on the call and took turns asking questions. They were also 30 minutes late, which I'm unsure if it was miscommunication or technical issues. Combined with the initial difficulty in scheduling, it felt like I wasn't seriously considered. After a few weeks with no word and seeing the position reposted, I asked the recruiter for feedback, and they just said, "Just not a good fit." Overall, not a great experience.
