First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Renault-Nissan Alliance.
Full Stack Developer
So, the interview process had three stages. First, there was an MCQ round. After that, a technical HR interview. And lastly, the HR round. It's pretty standard for freshmen interviews. I actually got this role as a full-stack developer at my university. The quant questions were a little challenging, but with good practice, they are definitely doable.
- Tell me about your experience with Java.
- Can you answer some questions about mathematics?
- What is your understanding of basic programming concepts?
Senior Buyer
The process started with 2 recruiter calls, followed by 3 tests (English, personality, psychology). Then, there was an interview with HR and the purchasing manager at Renault Nissan. If successful, the next steps involved interviews with the direct manager (N+1) and their manager (N+2), potentially leading to a job offer. The whole process was quite long. After 3 interviews, candidates were still unsure about the available positions.
- Can you explain your interest in Renault?
- Tell me about a successful experience you had.
- What unique skills or contributions do you bring to this role?
Test Engineer
So first there was a written test which had technical and aptitude parts, it was quite unique. This written test also included some personal questions to check writing and reading skills. After being selected from that, there was a technical face to face interview where they asked about my project and some technical stuff. Then there was a personal interview where they also explained about company rules and regulations.
- Can you explain the difference between RAM and ROM?
- Could you provide some Embedded C program logics?
- Can you explain the digital circuit half and full adder?
Buyer
Had an HR interview and tests with an external provider. Then a group presentation and a 'job' interview on-site with several candidates during a recruitment day. The interview with the provider was very professional, unlike the on-site interview, where I was supposed to meet someone from IT purchasing. There must have been a communication breakdown because I redid an HR interview with an execrable person (saying 'I note that you are mercenary Mr XXXX' when the HR asked me my salary expectations (previously communicated to the provider) or repeating my words with a value judgment when he asked me why I had done volunteer work with children in South America (to confront myself with a reality different from France).) Not professional at all.
- Can you provide an example of a difficult negotiation?
- What do you know about our group?
