Product Manager
I applied for a Sr. PM role. The process kicked off with a 30-min recruiter screen, followed by a 30-min Hiring Manager interview. The HM chat focused on my background and behavioral questions. The recruiter was super responsive and accommodating, which was a plus. I liked that I got to talk about my background and ask questions early on. Also, the company having a handbook and a structured approach is a good sign. However, there was a lot of confusion because the role's focus wasn't clear. The job description, what the recruiter said, and what the Hiring Manager described were all different. This lack of alignment took up most of the HM interview because I had to ask clarifying questions. This made it hard to prepare and probably affected my assessment negatively. The HM's responses and tone suggested this, which is understandable. My advice for management is to make job descriptions clearer. Most importantly, make sure recruiters and hiring managers are on the same page about the role. This will ensure fair evaluation and a better candidate experience. While no one was wrong from their perspective, the whole process got messy. I ended up looking unprepared or unserious to the hiring manager. The HM interview felt judgmental because of my questions, but I was caught in the middle of miscommunication (which the HM wouldn't know). Even though the recruiter round was great, this misalignment soured the whole experience in retrospect.

Associate Product Manager
The interview process was smooth. The recruiter was quite gentle and answered all my questions thoroughly. I did not move past the first stage of the recruitment process. Hopefully, I get to take a second shot.

- Why product management?
- Describe your experience working async and what you believe is necessary for success.
Product Manager
The hiring process involved several steps: an initial screening, a compatibility check, a skills assessment, a review of core values, and a discussion about career history. Unfortunately, I was rejected via email before I could complete any of these stages, so I don't have much more to share about the specifics.
