First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Remote People.
Account Executive
Had a short initial chat. Then, there was a one-hour case study with the Global Head of Revenue. You can only imagine the prep time needed for these. Ended with final thoughts, feedback, and a plan for what's next. You'd think, after all that work, you'd at least get an update. Tried reaching out a few times, but no reply from this team. It's weird for a company that sells HR & recruitment solutions if they can't get their own internal stuff together. Makes you wonder about the external service they offer. Not the most professional.
- Could you demonstrate a pitch tailored to your Ideal Customer Profile?
Account Manager
I interviewed with HR first, then my supervisor. My supervisor realized I was a better fit for Account Manager than my original role and gave me an intro. I loved it and felt the company cared about finding the right fit. Next was an interview with the HR VP, which was also great. I felt a strong connection to the company's values and communication style. After that, I received an offer. I spoke with my supervisor one last time before deciding, and I accepted the offer because the role and company vision aligned perfectly with my goals, leading me to decline offers from two other companies.
- What is your motivation for joining our company?
HR and Talent
I had a first call with the VP of people. Then there was a 1-hour test. After that, I had a second call to discuss the test. I had actually dropped out of the process because I got another offer, but I wanted to pick up where we left off for the third step. The VP was nice enough to want another interview to continue our discussion. We set up a meeting for the following Monday, but then I heard nothing back or got any explanations. So, overall, it doesn't give a great impression of their selection process.
- The first chat had very basic interview questions, from what I remember.
- The test was about how I manage and execute a recruitment process.
- They asked me to provide a pipeline of 3 candidates, using free sourcing methods.
HR Specialist
The interview process kicked off with a recruiter call that was quickly scheduled. However, after the interview, the recruiter went totally silent. They mentioned I'd get a task right after, but it never came. I sent a follow-up email a few days later, but still no response. It's fine if I'm not moving forward, but getting ghosted is a really bad look and just unprofessional, especially since sending a rejection email is super easy.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What makes you want this job?
- When can you start?
