First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Remitly.
Growth Marketing Manager
The interview process involved four rounds. First, there was a people interview, then a hiring manager interview, followed by a meeting with teammates. This last meeting was quite technical, focusing on specific areas like paid social and paid search.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What motivates your interest in joining Remitly?
Email Marketing Manager
Got a call from a staffing agency about the job and they sent my info over. No phone screen, but I did have to do a quick assignment before they set up an interview. The interview was about 3 hours. I met with 3 people one-on-one and also gave a 30 min presentation to all of them about email campaigns I've done. Everyone was super nice and professional, made it feel more chill even though it was a long interview. They were really into Remitly's vision and it was catchy. Made me want the job, but I didn't get an offer a few days later.
- Can you share an instance where you used data analysis to make a decision and what happened as a result?
Marketing Manager
The interview process was pretty smooth overall, and they seemed to be in a hurry, which was good. I completed all 5 interviews, but when it came to getting an update, I followed up about 10 days later. The talent manager said they'd get back to me the following week, but then they ghosted me for almost another two weeks with no response, which was weird. Especially since I had other opportunities I was considering and would have liked to know what was happening as I was really keen on this role.
- Can you share an example of a situational challenge from your previous marketing experience and how you managed it?
- Tell me about a marketing campaign you managed that was successful. What were the main approaches and results?
- What's your process for establishing marketing objectives and evaluating their effectiveness?
