Marketing
It took a bit over two months to get through the whole thing, with six interviews total. It kicked off with a quick call from the recruiter. After that, I had a bunch of 1:1s with the hiring manager, some of the team, and folks from sales, spread out because of different time zones. The last part was this big presentation that needed a ton of research, way more than usual. I got good feedback and they said I'd hear back in a couple of days, but then it kept getting pushed. That uncertainty made me think how it might turn out. Someone mentioned I didn't have direct experience with apps, which is a bit niche, even though I had all the right skills and could do the job. Everyone was really nice and respectful, though. Nothing bad happened, I just wish it had moved faster and they'd made a decision quicker.

Ad Operations Manager
I had 3 phone interviews with different people from the company: HR, the Team Lead, and the Manager. The first one was really nice and professional. They asked me about my current job, what I do day-to-day, why I'm looking for a new job, and why I'm interested in Remerge. The second interview was also great and very professional. They asked me specific questions about online marketing KPIs, how to report on campaigns, and RTB platforms. The third interview felt discriminatory. Since the job needs Russian language skills, I was surprised they kept bringing up my 'Eastern European origin' negatively, even though I've lived and worked in Germany for 3.5 years. They asked unprofessional and off-topic questions like how I ended up in Berlin, what I do in my free time, about clubbing and nightlife, if I still have culture shock, and if my origin would be a problem in a German company. It felt offensive, and the interviewer was arrogant. They also spoke poorly about their colleagues, including those who recommended me. It's a shame one person can ruin the impression of the whole team and company. After that, I didn't feel like I'd want to work with that person. The first two interviews were professional and constructive with friendly attitudes, focusing on my skills. The third was completely unprofessional, off-topic, insulting, and discriminatory.

Operations Team Member
I had a phone call with an HR manager, and then an onsite meeting with my future manager and one of the co-founders. The first call was about an hour and a half. The HR manager was really encouraging and explained how my background fit the company. They invited me to the onsite interview at the end of that call. The second interview was smooth. I met my manager first, who talked about Remerge and was honest about the job's ups and downs. A co-founder joined after we talked for about two hours. I'd applied for a different role in the same department, but they offered me something else onsite that was a better fit, which I'm happy about. I got the job offer a few hours after the final interview, which was a surprise. It was the best interview process I've had.

Business Process Specialist
After submitting my application, I got an email a few days later inviting me to a first screening. It was a very nice and casual phone interview. I really enjoyed it, which is unusual for an interview. Later, I was invited to an in-person interview in Berlin with the head of operations and a colleague. This was also a very nice and casual chat about the current situation and how I could contribute and improve things. My first impression was how incredibly nice everyone was, which I think reflects the working culture there.
