Initial phone screen with a recruiter who lacked healthcare experience and was quite unpleasant. They questioned why I applied to multiple roles, telling me not to be 'one of those candidates'. It seemed like they were reading questions prepared by the hiring manager, as they couldn't provide clarification due to their lack of knowledge. I suspect they failed to convey my relevant healthcare data experience to the hiring manager because they didn't understand the field themselves. Honestly, given the recent negative employee reviews, I feel like I avoided a bad situation.

The interview process included a phone screen, followed by an onsite interview with multiple interviewers. There was then another onsite interview with multiple people. I later found out from employee reviews that poor communication is a common issue at the company, and I think this was reflected in my interview experience. I had communication delays from HR and the hiring manager didn't respond to my emails. My advice to management is to train employees on basic communication skills, like acknowledging emails promptly and politely, and to ensure these skills are used in interactions between HR, hiring managers, and candidates.

I applied in Jan 2020. About two weeks after applying, I had an initial screening call with HR where I talked about my resume. Then they passed my resume to a hiring manager. After that, I had a phone interview with the manager, and answered questions about machine learning theory and techincal concepts. The following week, I went in for an in-person interview.

I had several phone interviews that seemed promising at first, but then communication stopped, and I couldn't get any responses. The interviewers came across as disorganized, rude, and disengaged. I received conflicting information regarding the job description and my questions. The benefits were also not impressive. It's a shame because the role and company seem to have a lot of potential if they can improve their process.
