Broker
It was a really informative and direct interview process. It's a performance-based role focused on building your own client base. They presented the opportunity professionally, showing not just your potential but also how others are doing. This company is looking for the top 20% of professionals in insurance and financial products. If you're not a self-starter, don't bother applying.

I had three interviews. The first was with a Partner, and the second was with the Managing Partner. The very first call was basically an intro to get to know me and to let me get to know the company. I was able to answer questions about my hobbies and lessons learned from previous jobs.

- It seems like many questions were about my personal drive and past examples of my ability to be consistent.
Agent
I applied online. It took 5 days to hear back. I was interviewed at Barra & Associates in Itasca, IL in December 2015. First, I had a phone interview, and then I was invited for a face-to-face meeting. I met one-on-one with the office manager, and it went really well.
