First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RELEX Solutions.
Technical Consultant
The interview process was smooth and pretty efficient. It consisted of 4 steps: 1. Telephone interview with HR rep to understand cultural fit, professional background, and role fit. 2. First video-interview with HR rep and team-lead, where they asked questions about the company and role. Most questions were standard, like 'why this company,' 'why this role,' 'talk about your experience,' and mostly tied to the job descriptions. Many questions were role-based, like 'tell me what you did in your previous role,' and others similar to the first interview, such as 'why this role,' 'why you think you fit the position,' etc. After this stage, I was given a 'written assignment': a 10-page paper with 5 tasks, all role-related: a. understanding functional databases and drawing a database diagram with primary keys links; b. writing a calculation (e.g., database import limits is 5m rows and file has n products to each day how many days of history can we load before reaching the limit); c. writing a small Java code to incorporate balance based on given criteria; d. questions related to wildcard and ETL model data import; e. writing a professional email to a hypothetical user for troubleshooting feedback. The time to complete the assignment was fair (about one week) and the difficulty was medium (if you fit the role and have the required experience, these tasks aren't too hard; I finished before the deadline). 3. Second online interview with the team lead and a person in the role (TC in this case): we discussed the assignment, covered the questions, and the answers provided, and why specific answers were given (I think to confirm I did the assignment and understand the role). 4. Final interview with the head of the department. This was more informal, with similar generic questions about the role, experience, and general interests. Overall, the experience was very positive and comfortable.

Technical Consultant
I was contacted by a recruiter for a technical consultant role. Since I was already employed, I decided to proceed with the interview as the company seemed interesting. My salary expectation was around 5000€ per month, which the recruiter confirmed was in line with the company's salary policy for this position. However, it turned out this was not the case, and the interview felt pointless because they could only offer me less than 4000€/month. I politely declined, and the interviewer then belittled me and my experience, saying any senior developer would love to work at Relex and my salary request was unrealistic. The interviewer's behavior was extremely unprofessional.
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
Technical Consultant
The hiring process was okay but very unprofessional. I was verbally given an offer, but then it was retracted over email without any proper justification. I emailed them multiple times but received no response. I was totally ghosted. Very unprofessional for a startup like this. I hope they improve themselves and honor their verbal commitments. Please respect the candidate's time.
