I had a 30-minute interview over Microsoft Teams with someone from the test engineering team, not HR. We discussed my past projects, what I learned from them, and they asked some technical questions plus an open-ended one.

Technical Presentation

Got contacted by a recruiter for a phone screen after applying. Then had a phone interview with the hiring manager. Was told I'd need to do a 30-minute presentation for the on-site. Got an email less than a week before the interview saying the position was filled, which they said was a mistake and to interview anyway. During the interview, the hiring manager confirmed the position was filled. I wasted a lot of time preparing the presentation because of this disorganized company.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you explain the application of a Wheatstone bridge in sensor circuits?

The interviewer seemed impatient and cut me off while I was explaining my thought process, eventually just giving me the answer because they felt I wasn't getting it. It was a really unusual experience compared to other interviews I've had.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • For a bucket half-full with an air-tight lid and a bottom valve, what does the air pressure vs. time plot look like, and how does it change for slow vs. fast draining?
  • In the previous scenario, if you have two buckets, one 90% full and one 50% full, how do their final height and pressure compare?
