I got a voicemail from a recruiter about interviewing with a therapist. I called back to confirm I could do the next day at 9am. When I got there, the receptionist wasn't sure who I was looking for but let me wait. The recruiter called back and said the therapist had a meeting, even though she was supposed to be free. She told me to wait about 30 minutes and gave me a new address. When I got to the new place, the receptionist said the therapist had just left. I called the recruiter, who said, "I told you to wait," and gave me the therapist's number, saying, "I need to step out of this." I finally talked to the therapist, which was good. The confusion and having to coordinate through someone else was frustrating. The recruiter's blaming and attitude also turned me off. But the therapist I interviewed with was great! She explained everything required and provided. She made me excited about the PRN OT opportunity.

Behavioral Other

I had an interview with the PRN program director, who is the one that travels to buildings that are looking to hire a PD. I was told I would have a Tuesday-Saturday schedule, but I have been working Sunday-Thursday for three years because the new PD didn't know about the promises made. The interview covered basic questions like why I should be considered and why I want the job, and what made me choose OT. More practical questions focused on solving typical workplace issues, like when patients refuse treatment or when family members become aggressive.

Behavioral Presentation

I went through 3 phone interviews and then one live interview. Two of the phone interviews were about an hour each, and the live interview was also about an hour. After that, I had another live interview with a different Regional Director who covers the same territory. The initial phone interviews were pretty standard. The in-person interview was an hour long, where they gave a good overview of the company's vision and values, really stressing that the patient comes first. Then, they asked about instances where I went above and beyond in my previous roles.

Behavioral Technical

I first got a call or email from a recruiter who was super friendly. I sent my resume in. We talked on the phone, and I let them know I was interested. Then, I had to do an online application. After that, the recruiter called to set up an in-person interview with the facility director and Regional Director. It was a sit-down thing with both of them where I answered questions about my past work. I asked a couple of things, but it was mostly them asking me stuff. Someone else came in after me. A few days later, the recruiter called to say I didn't get the job.
