First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Registrar.
Account Manager
I got an HR interview invite and booked a time, got a confirmation, but the interviewer didn't show up on the day. After following up, they rescheduled. After the interview, they told me when I'd hear back if I progressed, but I never got an update.
- Describe a time you had to use your problem-solving skills.
Product Marketing Associate
This whole thing was a mess and took TWO MONTHS. It started with a recruiter email for a basic intro call. Then I had a good hour-long chat with the hiring manager, where she dropped the bomb that there would be THREE more interviews for an entry-level role: a case study, a chat with a team member, and a call with the CEO. The case study instructions were terrible, which is frustrating for unpaid work. The call with the team member was fine. After that, it was crickets for weeks, despite me doing well and getting positive feedback. The recruiter kept giving vague excuses about "delays" every other week. It felt super disrespectful and like a waste of my time. Finally, I got an update: they paused hiring because the hiring manager left and they hired a contractor instead. They said they'd reach out later this year, but honestly, I'm not interested anymore given their incompetence.
- Can you name a company with a fantastic product but poor marketing efforts?
Regulatory Specialist
I submitted my application online and then HR reached out to me asking for my writing samples and college transcripts. After I sent those, they invited me for an interview. The first part was an in-person chat with HR where we talked about what I like and dislike, and went over my resume. We also chatted about what the workday is like in the department. After that, they told me I'd have a video interview with the manager. This video call was really helpful in understanding the daily tasks in the department and how different they are from my current role. We covered working hours and flexibility, which seemed standard. A couple of weeks later, I met with the director of the department and a VP to get a feel for their roles in the company. Following that meeting, they requested my references, and I got an offer the next week!
- Can you describe your strengths and weaknesses?
- Tell me about your educational background and your experiences with different courses.
- What aspects of your college courses did you find appealing, and which did you not enjoy?

Two days after applying on Indeed, I got an email from HR saying they were interested in interviewing me. But first, I had to send my college transcripts and a sample of college-level writing. Shortly after I replied, HR called briefly to set the interview time. I got a confirmation email with the names of the two people I'd meet. The interview itself was split into three parts with four employees. First was a background review with HR and the department supervisor. Then, technical questions with an actual employee and the team lead to see if I'd be a good fit for the team. Finally, more questions and a debrief with HR, where they mentioned the company discourages hiring people considering grad school or using it as a stepping stone. They said unanimous approval from all interviewers was needed for an offer. I was told to send all thank you notes to HR, as the other employees wouldn't give out contact info. I got a rejection email a few days later.
- Can you share an instance where your supervisor criticized your work on a project? What was it, and how did you incorporate their feedback for project completion?
- Could you introduce yourself concisely?
- Tell us about a time when workplace communication failed and you intervened. What happened, and how did you handle it?
