First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Regis College.
Communications Coordinator
I applied online. Soon after, I had a phone interview with someone from the undergraduate admissions team, and it went really well. Then, they asked me to come in for an in-person interview where I met with several people back-to-back: the admissions team, the marketing/communications director, a vice president, and finally the director of admissions. The interviews went great, and the conversation was easy. I didn't hear back for a while, so I emailed the director three times before he told me I didn't get the job.
- Prepare to describe the communication strategy for our upcoming EVENT.
- Outline a clear and concise approach for an admission-related program.
Donation Caller
I was called into the office and they asked me about what I liked and disliked about Regis at the time. The job was to call students and alumnae to get donations. The interviewer emphasized how important making phone calls was for the role and asked how comfortable I was with that. She was nice but it felt like she was trying to get me to say bad things about Regis to see if I would speak negatively about it to potential donors. I was also told there would be a script to read for calling donors and asking for money. This was when I was a student there and it was a new position.
- What do you enjoy about your time as a student at Regis?
- What aspects of Regis could be improved?
- What are your thoughts on making numerous phone calls?
Resident Director
It was a long day of interviews, and I met with a lot of people. I talked with the Vice President of Student Affairs, Assistant Dean of Students, Director of Student Activities, Director of Residence Life, and some current Resident Assistants and students during lunch. It was an exhausting day where we discussed my experience in college with Residence Life.
- Can you tell me about your experience in Resident Life?
- What kind of events and activities have you organized?
- Are you planning on continuing your education while working here?
