I previously worked as a CSR for Regions for 2 years before moving away. I left on good terms after giving a 3-week notice. The application and interview process this time took less than a week. I mentioned how much I enjoyed working there before and gave a few examples of my past experiences, and it seemed to go well, but I didn't receive an offer. It's surprising to me that they now require a Bachelor's degree for this position, as it involves only basic banking services and not loans, making four years of college seem excessive for a call center role.

Behavioral Other

I interviewed for a Customer Service Representative role, and they mentioned there were two similar openings: a Backup position and a regular Representative position. The interviewers were nice and asked some good questions, mainly about what to expect in the role, customer interaction, and training. They were particularly interested in my past customer service experience. When I asked about the next steps, they said they couldn't give me any feedback until after a background check. I was told HR would contact me the next Monday to get this started. If I didn't hear from them, I was instructed to follow up. So, I waited four days after the expected call from HR, then I called them myself. I explained my situation and that I was supposed to follow up about the background check. The HR person was brief and said, "They're still interviewing, you're not out of the running yet. We'll call you." This response felt really different from the interviewers'. I never got a call back.

Behavioral Technical

This time applying with Regions was a great experience, way better than before. No online tests, I got to talk to the hiring manager directly. She was super nice. Even though I didn't get the job, it was awesome talking to a real person instead of doing those boring online tests.
