First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Regent, L.P..
Investment Associate
It was a pretty typical interview process, though it took a while, from December to February. I talked one-on-one with 4 team members who mostly asked about my fit for the role, and one person asked some basic technical questions. After the initial calls, I had to do a case study that involved an LBO and writing a memo about the business, its risks, and benefits. Once I finished that, I went to their office to meet the team. They seemed nice and worked hard, and I was ready to accept an offer if they gave me one. But then things really changed. A few weeks later, I got a verbal offer, and when I tried to negotiate the salary, they said they'd think about it. After following up with HR for three days with no response, they completely pulled the offer. They offered me the job on a Monday and rescinded it by Friday with no explanation. Just a heads up, be careful interviewing here, have other options ready, and don't quit your current job until you have a signed contract. A verbal offer here doesn't mean anything.
- Can you tell me about deals you've been involved in?
- Could you describe the LBO you created?
- What makes you want to join Regent?

It was an hour interview, it is pretty relaxed I would suggest any one to go thru the process. Three people came to interview me.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain what makes you unique?
Senior Associate
I talked to a recruiter who knew a lot about the job and how the company is growing. Then, I met with 5 people who work at Regent, all at different levels. It felt more like chatting than interviewing because everyone was friendly and asked good questions.
- Can you tell me about a time you managed a project from start to finish? What were the biggest hurdles you faced during that project?
