Network Strategy Manager
The interview process included chats with HR, the hiring manager, two other managers, two executives, and a director. They were really on top of things and seemed to have actually read my resume, asking targeted questions that seemed to address potential gaps in my skills for the role. I was asked to share my expertise in healthcare and the specifics of the job. Most interviewers were helpful and impressive, though one seemed a bit unprepared. A slight annoyance was being told I'd meet with one person, but then often ending up with more interviews than anticipated, which extended the whole process longer than planned.
- What kind of job do you envision for yourself?
- Can you explain how you would engage hospitals to decrease their revenue by implementing improved network management strategies?
Underwriter
I was interviewed by two underwriters, one of them was the manager. They asked the usual stuff like, "Why do you want this position?" They really dug into how I handle conflict at work, like what I'd do if the sales team wanted to price a business line too low. Another question that got me was about a time I got feedback and knew I needed to change. I couldn't think of a good example. The interviewers were nice and friendly, and I would have taken the job if they offered it.
- Can you share an instance where you received negative feedback and consequently altered your behavior positively?
- Describe a situation where you advocated for something you held to be true.
Project Manager
The interview process began with a phone chat with HR, who seemed more interested in promoting the company than discussing the role. Then, I had an in-person interview with people who were just plain rude and acted like they were way above me. It felt like they went into the interview already deciding not to consider me because I didn't have a PMP. It was one of the worst interviews ever, a total waste of my time and theirs. I won't be applying for any jobs here again.
- Could you explain your motivation for applying to this role and your perceived ability to perform the job?
Senior Representative
Met the recruiters at a job fair that my former employer put on before outsourcing the call center. Talked about my experience and gave them my contact info. Then I had a phone screen, a typing/math test, and an interview to get hired. The whole process was super fast from the call to the offer. I also had to go to Seattle for orientation, which was weird since the Tacoma office had plenty of room.
- Can you share an instance where
